It’s going on 6 weeks now with the iPhone 6 Plus (as of this Saturday) and to my surprise my opinion has shifted slightly. Not about the phone, I still love it and am certain the larger model was the right choice for me. What has changed is my opinion about my iPad mini. I believed the iPhone 6 Plus would practically replace my mini; I believed it would be large enough to fill the role. I realize, however, I was wrong. I miss using my mini. As a matter of fact, the iPad mini is still my absolute favorite device. But the iPhone 6 Plus does satisfy the requirement when it isn’t practical to carry the iPad with me. So the data service is back on the iPad to use while I’m at work or in meetings for one of the organizations I volunteer with. These two devices are definately a winning combination for me. I’m likely in the minority, but kind of glad Apple didn’t give the iPad mini 3 any upgrades to speak of so I wouldn’t be tempted to spend more money on replacing my 1st generation mini. It still gets the job done and has an awsome sidekick in the iPhone 6 Plus.
