I decided to rebrand the podcast I began for Kids in Christ to a Highland Hope UMC podcast. I am using Podbean to host the podcast and have paid for a 1 year subscription in order to upgrade from 5 hours per month to an unlimited audio option. Initially, I thought I could create a separate podcast channel for the church, keeping the content separate. However, I discovered that I would have to pay for a second subscription in order to make that happen. Both could be managed under a single login account, but it would require separate subscriptions to have a second podcast channel.
Instead, I decided to have the Kids in Christ and church content in a single podcast feed. Ultimately, this is likely the better option since our goal is not only to provide childcare, but to reach the families of those we provide care to. Some have home churches already, but many don’t.
This also provides another avenue for our congregation to stay informed of what’s happening with the Kids in Christ ministry.
I provide the into and outro vocals to the podcast.
