There are a lot of great new apps and services available. Craft, Notion, and Obsidian get most of the spotlight among the tech influencers. I’m still very satisfied with Evernote and find benefit in the latest features that have been added to the app.
Connecting your Google calendar is helpful in terms of creating notes associated with events, very similar to creating a OneNote page from an Outlook event if you’re familiar with the Microsoft products.
Although Toodledo is my choice for a task app, I do still use the tasks with Evernote as well. First, tasks can be associated with an event when notes are being captured. When reviewing my notes, I decide whether to migrate them into Toodledo (usually if the task is due in the future or has a recurring element) or to leave it within Evernote’s task system (usually when the task can be completed quickly or are part of a project and I want to keep records together). Second, I sometimes use Evernote’s tasks when planning out a busy day, just to have a clear agenda and a single location to track progress since small tasks can be generated form conversations, incoming emails, and various other sources. I need to add a line to my chart that connects tasks to Evernote. A case could also be made to add Facebook to the right side with a link to the Communication/Collaboration function since Facebook Messenger is unfortunately creeping its way into the mix a bit.
Because of its new features, Evernote has essentially replaced my need for Trello in most small project scenarios.
