Power WI
I’m currently on a business trip to Madison, WI, for introductory training of Microsoft’s Power BI and I came across a used book store while I was out getting lunch. They had another copy of Leadership and Self-Deception that I can add to my office lending library, a Dave Ramsey book that I hadn’t heard…

The Anatomy of Peace
Re-reading “The Anatomy of Peace” for likely the 3rd (maybe 4th) time. One of the best outcomes of my time at the Federal Reserve Bank of St Louis is the exposure to this and “Leadership and Self-Deception” books from the Arbinger Institute. In these books, we learn that when in conflict, we often stop seeing…

To “celebrate”, I have organized the several personal finance lesson blog posts that I created over the past couple years into a book format that can be downloaded in EPUB or PDF format. I hope you find the information helpful as you continue on your own journey to improving your…
$21k Isn’t A Lot to Millionaires
I was recently asked to comment on the advice provided in this video. In short, it’s horrible advice. This is a prime example of why I cannot recommend blindly following the advice of radio entertainers who are brand conscious and common sense deficient. The proper advice anyone with the person’s best interests in mind…
Instrumental
Caleb got home last night for a weekend visit and came in with an autoharp that he found at a shop near ISU. I just don’t know why he keeps bringing home these instruments. He already has an acoustic guitar, electric guitar, trombone, ukulele, lap harp, midi keyboard, stylophone, and I’m sure others. We’re running…
